CANOPY AT THE CAMPUS

Spear Street Capital’s acquisition of Cherrywood Business Park has brought with it significant investment in its public realm and social infrastructure in tandem with its rebranding as The Campus Cherrywood. SSC have tasked MOLA with creating a community within the business park, by improving interconnectivity between buildings, creating focal points and fostering inter-relationships between The Campus’ many users.

The project has revitalised the space between buildings with a total landscaping overhaul and created destination spaces distributed around the park such as the self-sustaining Meeting Room Pods dispersed in the woodland alongside the lake. The centre piece set within the main public space is a sunken garden and performance space, linking basement carparking and amenity spaces to the surface, which is protected from the elements by a vast glazed canopy supported on an elaborated Glulam structure.
